Belgrave Community Alcohol Partnership

We are committed to keeping the Belgrave community safe and enjoyable for everyone. As part of this, we are working closely with local partners through our Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP). The CAP brings together the police, local authorities, schools, businesses, and health services to reduce alcohol-related harm and promote responsible drinking.

A key part of this work involves engaging with licensed premises across the area. We are supporting pubs, bars, restaurants, and shops to uphold their responsibilities, ensure alcohol is sold responsibly, and help prevent underage sales. By working in partnership, we can create safer spaces for residents and visitors alike.

We also want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the dangers of drink driving. Even a small amount of alcohol can affect your reaction times and decision-making. We will continue to carry out roadside checks and enforce the law robustly to protect our community. Please plan ahead—use public transport, taxis, or a designated driver if you are drinking.

Together, through partnership and community support, we can reduce alcohol-related harm and keep our roads, businesses, and neighbourhoods safe.
